FOSTER WITH US
-
Fostering increases an animal’s chance of getting adopted through socialization and knowledge of personality and needs. Shelters are stressful! Housing them in a home environment allows them to experience love and comfort while waiting for their forever home.
-
All necessary pet supplies such as food, bowls, crates, toys, etc. as well as all medical and vetting costs are provided by CCAR. As a foster, you must provide your time and transportation to various events and appointments.

All foster animals should be kept separate for a minimum of 5-10 days.

Yes! You get to choose which animal you foster based on your preferences, abilities, and comfort level.
Standard Foster Home Criteria
You must be 18 years of age or older, and own your home or have permission from a landlord.
Resident animals must be spayed/neutered and up to date on distemper and rabies vaccines for their safety.
Animals, including fosters and resident animals, must be kept indoors, unless in a specialized circumstance (i.e. owned barn cats).
Fosters should be prepared to keep animals confined for their safety. This may mean a fenced yard or supervision while on an outdoor leash.
Fosters should provide adequate exercise and basic care, including consistent feeding, watering, medication on a schedule, etc.
If you have questions regarding this criteria, please reach out to us at info@ccarescue.com.
